Seemed like a nice day to ski so I headed up to Hunter mid-morning today. Armed with a genuine Philty-O tune and wax, I figured it would be icy death cookies after the rain earlier this week. When I arrived and hit the snow at 10:45, the first thing I noticed was that the quad was down. B to F lift only. The quad had apparently "exploded" the day before. Never did find out what really happened. Jessica?
Once at the summit, the next thing I noticed was that the mainline had been resurfaced. They had blown snow. And it was good. Really good, especially with a fresh tune. The left corner of Hellgate was great, the rocks staying covered at the extreme left until about 1pm. After a 15 minute lunch at about 2pm, I went until last chair, switching to the fence line on Hellgate which was filled with pushed off soft snow and a fun berm/bump line the rest of the day.
Really felt good today. More skiing on Friday.
Big interview tomorrow, #5 with this company. Employment looms.
