Got alot of vacation days to burn; I knew Hunter blew a ton of snow on Sat night into Sunday and last night, so I figured today would be good.

It was.

Minya/Crossover was awesome, nice little bumps all the way down hard left. East Side Drive opened, and Bleeker to Ike was sweet. All had nice creamy snow to ski on. Cliff had whales on it too, but never opened. Looked plenty skiable.

Wayout was also opened, but because of high wind the new west side quad had to close. So I never got to ski Wayout or ride the old quad in its' new location. Mixed emotions about that lift, I've spent years avoiding it and now it's the bread and butter lift over there. First time I want to ride it, closed.

Small issue today...skiing was great.

I was there as well, didn't see you..but we where just lapping mainline at 1000000000mph...I was dissapointed more wasn't open and I bet others where as well, especially the ones who paid 54.00...I did get to ride the quad and ..well..just don't like that I can't check out Clairs anymore on the way up..staring at a closed Westway is kind of beat...and I think the increased traffic will be...a problem..have to see...

Interesting point about not being able to scope out Claires. I wonder if that + increased skier traffic will result in even more people that have no business on it trying it. Anyway, might have to scoop up a 3X card and hit Huntah a few times this season.

Interesting. I wonder if this is going to be a frequent problem now. West Side used to almost never close for winds, and it's had to close both days it's been open so far, when the other lifts on the mountain haven't had to.

In fairness, the wind was howling from the NW. But the 6 pack ran all day no problem.

Thinking of heading up again tomorrow or thurs.
