Poking around yesterday - looks like some of the base pads are just reused - some are beefed up with more concrete.

Interesting choice of colors. What happened to the Hunter Mtn Blue color?

With that brown and gold lettering it looks very similar to NY State DEC signs. Is it possible Hunter Mtn is getting ready to be owned by NY State DEC. If the state owned Hunter Mtn than it might be easier to expand all the way up to the Fire Tower to get 4050-1600= 2450 feet of Vertical .

Something tells me that given the State of NY's current fiscal situation that the purchase of another ski area isn't exactly high on their list ;)

Maybe Hunter just chose a glorified "rust brown" color to cut down on future painting/maintenance bills ;) :spin: ;)

Interestingly enough, on the Poma site the lift is called "Snowlite Express" instead of "Kaatskill Flyer"

The former lift it's replacing was called the Snowlite Express, I'd guess that was the initial thought for the new one.
