Resort or Ski Area: Hunter Mountain

Conditions: Untracked Powder, Slightly Tracked Powder, Regular Powder, Powder Bumps....get the picture?

Trip Report: Made it to Hunter pretty early, roads were well-cleared. Got fairly crowded around 10:30 for this time of year...

Beautiful, completely ungroomed, which was nice for a while...but, the bumps got quite tiring after a while.

Everything was open (okay, there were closed signs...but....when there are more people on the closed trail than the open one, it doesn't count). Watched people ski the Quad liftline, 44 and Lower Taylors have tons of snow, as does 42nd street.

Great conditions!!!!! tried to get an early start but the frozen precip from the storm had turned my car into a solid ball of ice that took the better part of a half hour to chip out the ride.

Got on the mountain at 10 and what a day! mashed potato bump heaven and nonexistant lines. Finally got to ride 44 and the glades! I forgot how much fun this place is with decent cover. Got exhausted around 345 and called it a day.

On a side note a saw an accident while cruising through the park. A man wearing a helmet was lieing on his back with blood coming out of his face. decided not to hit any jumps after this... hope he's ok.

My love hate relationship with hunter is back to all love!

Incredible day!!! Knee deep snow all over the mountain.
Totally rideable for anyone who knows how to ski/ride dense snow...

Glad you guys provided the report and video...I'm too sore to move much today.

Sat and Sun were two of my best days ever at Hunter...the place was just going off.

Hit a few rocks in the K27 annex and woods, but besides that it was full coverage in 2 feet of powder everywhere. Didn't hurt the skis too much, nothing unfixable.

What a March this has been for me!

I saw a bunch of snowboard tracks yesterday; a few on the quad line, a couple linking Cliff and the bottom of Hellgate. Was wondering if any were yours...

It's from my buddy PJ... I was out with the riders that day... Not the free heelers... :)
