A great day at Hunter. The Nastar Pacesetting Event was moved to Hunter because the had more snow than Windham. We ran the races on Madison Ave. AJ Kitt was the pacesetter and man is he fast!

Had a chance to ski around a bit and even hit Hunter West for a run. Looks like the were making lots of snow over the past few days and we skied on a nice surface. I noticed 2 new High Speed lifts!!!

I was just about to post a TR.

Hunter was great yesterday...everything that was open before got a nice resurfacing and Clairs opened yesterday. When I drove in I was disappointed that Racer's was dirt, so I was really hoping Clairs was open because we needed some terrain expansion.

Hunter did not disappoint...Clairs was sweet top to bottom. In an interesting move, Colonel's Alternate was the entry to Clairs and it was left bumped up from last week. That was a nice line straight into the silky manmade whales on Clairs. And the HSQ back there is a real upgrade for the resort. I cranked out 6 Clairs in less than an hour without even trying. You can easily run up 30K vert in a half day with no crowds.

There was some kind of snowmaking issue at the base of Hellgate; apparently there was some kind of water blowout there. But when I left they had turned the guns on Racer's top to bottom.
