I need a current catskills ice/snow report

Is it heavy ice or snow? ...especially at the hills (Bell, Huntah, etc.....)

Weather reports are showing all ice, but we know how that might be different up a little higher.

zero white stuff, plenty of solid crystal ... it's 32 out and expected to drop, so I'd imagine the guns will be getting busy at some point

Just got of phone with recorded report for belleayre...no snow lastnite..may get 1 to 3 this am...Think it may be bullet proof this weekend with wicked temp drops and wind chill.Used to take 1 day after thaw to recover .

You may want to get around to sharpening your edges that you have been putting off. The good news with temp drop, the skiing should be very good early Saturday and Sunday morning on trails they made fresh snow on. Get there early to find out what trails they made snow on and get on the lifts when they first open. It will probably get real fast and slick by 11am. With the rain it should keep the crowds away.

I have very little experience with the fickle ways of Eastern weather, but my guess had been that Sunday would be decent, with snowmaking Friday and Saturday and warmer temps on Sunday. Am I being overly optimistic?
