I was up in New Hampshire this weekend, visiting my wife's grandfather. I woke up on Sunday morning, looked out the window and saw his 10 acre ranch covered in snow! IT WAS AMAZING!
The snow was wet but coming down steady with almost an inch on the ground. I actually had to clean my car off before driving off to Vermont that morning.
I drove from Lake Sunapee to Ascutney then down to Bromley and Magic mountain. All four ski resorts had gotten enough snow on them (at least at the higher elevations) that from a distance the trails looked completely snow covered. Route 91, near exit 9 had slush on the ground till 10am and some of the smaller country roads near Ascutney had been plowed (overkill in my opinion, but good to see the towns taking good care of roads).
What made this special for me is that I am from New Jersey, so I never get to witness one of the first snows of the year, or any snow in October period. I AM SO EXCITED! SNOW IS COMING!
