Tomorrow is my last day. I decided to take the spring and summer off to hike the Appalachian Trail. I'm flying down to Georgia on Wednesday, starting the hike Thursday. I can't wait to be done with the grocery store.

Congrats

My understanding is it takes a lot of coordinating to hike the AT.....setting up grocery drops and what not along the way.

You going solo?

I'll be keeping a website that will be updated at least once a week, hopefully, and I'll stop by and give some updates when I hit towns.

Nice! My first thought when I saw the title of this thread was 'ski season is nearing the end, that's an odd time to quit' but this makes a little more sense. Best of luck!

Good luck, your following through on one of my dreams. You will meet some of the best people in your life and come away with the best memories.

The month I spent with the girlfirend on the long trail after college was the best month of my life, despite the fact that it rained every day.

As a side note, I generally find EMS to be overpriced but they were great to us on the trip. The rain and boots ate up my old lady's feet to the point of bloody stumps, we hitched into manchester, they took the bloody boots, gave her a free pair and one of the employees even gave us a lift back to the trail. Just something to keep in mind when picking up your gear.
