if a bear dies naturally?

if a bear dies naturally what happens to it's body? I always see dead bears that were hunted. but where are the bodies of the ones that die of natural causes? what happens to that big thick skulls of theirs?

I think they get consumed by all the little critters in the woods. Ever watch the nature shows on the discovery- dead animals get picked clean instantly. However when I was in africa i cam upon a long dead elephant and there were still lots of bones left bleaching in the sun...so maybe the woods are different.
