If you were told you could only ski at one area this winter...

Where would it be and why?

Conditions:
- It has to be within your financial means. (i.e., everyday at Vail, only if you can afford to)
- It does not impair the rest of your life's responsibilities (i.e., quitting work and running away from home)

Examples:
Banff for two weeks.
My local hill every weeknight.
Sugarloaf, every weekend.

Saddleback, Maine. Not that I've ever skied there but it seems like there is a great variance in terrain and it is pretty low-key and cheap compared to other mountains (to my knowledge).

dump my wife, marry a supermodel, move west side of the rockies and get the epic pass.

I really hope that your wife doesn't check on your posts!!

Me-It's the Crotch-close enough to home(15 minutes) to avoid the ire of a non-skiing wife, cheap for me, great woods when they're in play, good exercise if they are not.

This is a true realistic wish list, not my dream wish list!

Dream list is skiing Snowbasin(west), Jay(east) if money, job, family, would allow it. I also really like Wildcat!!! Hope that the snow making improvements are the real deal.

Nice to be posting to a non-political thread, we really need some snow!!!!!

Mount Steven, 6000 vertical feet with 1000 inches of snow, no one else allowed to ski or ride it and right in the middle of Manhattan. Or I could just ski MRG and be just as happy ;-)

If they were open 7 days a week, it would be magic.

Cannon gets consideration because of distance and pass price.

I'd go with Killington. The drive is a bit more than I want to do regularly, but I know they will deliver a long season, and it's big enough that it won't get boring.

Given those parameters, my options down here are very slim.

If I could only pick one, it would probably be either Cannon or Wildcat 1-2 weekends a month.
