I haven't been to Vermont since Thanksgiving weekend when I skied Okemo and Killington. I plan on taking off work the first week of April and staying in Stowe from March 31st-April 5th. I'll most likely ski a day or two in the Mad River Valley as well. I have no idea where I'm staying. Last year I stayed at the Town and Country Resort during that week for $60 a night plus tax and got lucky because it dumped hardcore.
Spots on my list to hit are Chapel Woods, Susie Wussy glades, Lookout, Lookout Woods, Starr, Tres Amigos glades, S-53, Upper Upper National, Goat-Dive woods, both pipelines, BBQ woods, Bypass woods, Booger snowfields, Kitchen sink, Hazleton trail, Tomba, Midway, Goat, Chin Clip, the bench, Big Tits, Oh Shit, Riverbed, and of course a run down the Bruce trail to the Matterhorn.
In town The Shed, Pie-Casso, Pie in the Sky, Sunset Grill, The Bagel, and the Subway next to the Town and Country in are all on my hit list. Possible Jake Burton sightings, Ski-Vermont listers, and people I went to college with are always a possibility. Forays into Burlington for a hip hop show and sushi at Sakura..yes yes yes...
The three mountains I ski the most are Blue, Jackson Hole, and Stowe..I have some unfinished business at Stowe..my fat skis have never skied Stowe and are hungry..Will I meet a few more AlpineZoners????
