Berkshire East
Best natural snow skiing and glades in Southern New England, without question. Legit pitch and vertical. Really cool vibe. Not crowded.

Jiminy Peak
The better option (when compared to B-East) early and late season and when there's little natural. Good lift system; not as crowded as many think if you know the skier traffic patterns.

Bousquet
Never been. Seems like a great night skiing option, but I'd opt for Jiminy if traveling that distance.

Catamount
Cool vibe. Better pitch than Butternut. Nice bumps lines.

Ski Butternut
Awesome snowmaking and quality groomed terrain. More expansive than Catamount. A good early season option. Great learning area. Can be crowded on weekends like MLK.

Jiminy Peak
Nice skiing, different types of terain, usully have enough snow. Have great night skiing with almost whole mountain open.

Bousquet
Been once. Very good night skiing(all mountain) had lots of terain. Needed faster chairs though.

Catamount
Really like the terain there, but they really need newer faster lifts. Takes too long to get to the top.

Ski Butternut
Been so long I cant give a opinion.

Great snow, decent lifts. Good variety and great price. usually get a good deal of natural snow compared to others. Probably my favorite in the berks.

Jiminy Peak
Haven't been in a REALLY long time. Went there w/ school ski clubs back in the day. I remember them spreading snow kinda thin to open more trials. Rather expensive now...you can go to large mts for same price or less w/ some research. Would always hit brodie vs. this place. Kinda bitter about that whole situation. Many people's fav. in the berks

Bousquet
Great family mountain. I have been there many, many times. Can't beat the prices. I remember in college days I could ski all day for about 15. Slow lifts as other said, but they don't tow you up very much vertical, so it isn't that big a deal.

This is all of Otis Ridge in this picture:

I liked Otis Ridge, even though I only skied there once, it had a nice fall line trail that had a fun mogul field.

I skied Blandford for the first time this year in February and Warren and I had fun with a area that only has 465' of
vertical. The ski area is owned by the Springfield Ski Club and is the oldest (1936) continuosly operated ski club owned ski area in North America. The staff and the people that come here are very friendly and we hope to visit it again soon.

I can only speek for Jiminy and Catamount but you were dead on with those. I can't wait to ski catamount with more open this year.
I usually ski the berks much more then the skills to avoid driving through the city twice in one day.

Blandford is really low key. I loved it the one time we skied it. Enough pitch, no crowds, old school feel. $12 lift ticket.

The only place i have ever skied in MA is Mt Tom which is now defunct. I find the pull of VT, NH & ME ski areas irresistable and drive by the MA areas.

I skied Jiminy on January 2 and 3 this past season. We stayed at the Country Inn. This was our first ski in/out experience. We loved the layout of the resort. I would classify us as low intermediates at the time we skied there. For us the terrain was interesting and the Berkshire Express is great. The second day we had 6 inches of fresh snow. The restaurant in the Country Inn is great. I enjoyed having dinner by the windows and watching the night skiers/riders ripping past us. I plan on hitting Jiminy a few times this season.

I will report back on Catamount this season. I can't wait to use my season pass.

I will report back on Blanford. The Catamount pass gets me a discount at Blanford. I would like to check it out for some variety this season.

Has anyone skied Goodell Hollow? I camped on Mt. Greylock this summer and really liked the area. Some day I'll do the Thunderbolt....some day...
