Agree with Ragged being least crowded. Sunapee gets a lot of metro Boston daytrippers. Pats just churns people all day and night. It's quite busy, the lifts to the top are the busiest. I tended to go there with the youngest kids, stayed on the easiest trails and we hardly every had much of a wait on the little lifts. Pats is very popular with the So. NH families. About 3-4pm the night shift starts and it gets really, really busy.

Skied Ragged today. Busiest day of the year. I had to suffer through a 5 minute wait on the Six Pack 2 times. awful..........;)

Sunapee is best skied from 8-10 am on a weekend if you can manage it. I got there early in 2005-2006 when I skied there and 10am was the witching hour when the folks driving up got there. PM for a more specific game plan.

Pats Peak, on a Saturday or Sunday, is not too bad but again, get there early. Saturday nights are mayhem there. They run their POP deals and there are many clubs, school, church groups who use it and bring up herds of never-ever skiers and riders who look like deer in the headlights. Plus they did not regroom their terrain for night skiing....I don't know if that is still the case.

Agree that Ragged would be the least busy but I don't have firsthand experience to back that up.

+1 on the Sunapee and Pats Peak comments. Got some good advice from TB on Sunapee.

If you go to Sunapee on Sunday, get your skiing in before noon. They run a special for NH residents on Sunday afternoons and the lines everywhere get crazy.

Only ever did one Pats Peak POP session...tooo crazy for me. Getting there early on a weekend works pretty well.

Haven't been to Ragged enough to say but I never had problems with crowds when I've gone there.

what they said.. i was there last weekend. the difference between 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 was amazing.

3:00 - lodge empty
4:00 - lodge busy
5:00 - place was insane

but we had fun there, will go back but making sure to wrap up by 4.

I ski Pats all the time because I live 5/10 minutes from it. The least busy times on weekends on the slope is 3-5. Day crowd thins and night punks haven't gotten there yet. Early is good as well. 10-12, 1:30 - 3 are busiest and of course after 5. Never will you find me on the hill after 5 on a Saturday.

Sundays are hit or miss. This year I haven't waited in line more than 5 minutes anyday or time.
