Was just reviewing some recent photos from my cousin's village in Ulic', Slovakia. Came upon the town ski-hill (where EVERYONE learns to ski) and it made me think of how Rivercoil diss'ed the Stateside lodge as being crowded and unnavigable. Well, stateside does have heat!
Check these out:
The "lodge"
I've been there, hiked the mountains and walked the slopes, never in the winter though.
The cool thing is that many, many villages still have little rope tows like this and they don't cost a thing, the town runs them.
