Is this weekend's rain going to kill chances for season extentions?

Mad River Glen had been saying they'd be open through 4/13 for sure and through 4/20 if snow and skier visits hold out. In their snow report today they've dropped the mention of 4/13 and say they do plan to remain open through the 20th.

There was plenty of base when I was there Tuesday and to the extent the Mt Mansfield snow stake is an indicator for MRG a bit to the south, not much base has been lost in this week's freeze/thaw cycles (Mansfield was at 94" as of yesterday; I believe the season high was 110" a couple weeks ago). Yes there will be rain this weekend but temps will stay in the 30s or maybe into the low 40s and some snow may mix in, so it doesn't sound like a base-killing event (though it can't do much for business). By Tuesday it sounds like we'll be back to a classic spring cycle

no kidding, mamaspice.

The Pinkham Window opened wide this morning early and there was huge sun, bluebird sky and temps in the 50's to make a fine day at Wildcat, too.

Yep, that rain really killed things today.....

Seriously the warmth and sun toasted Sleeper, Sunrise, and has pretty much almost taken out the lower part of Castlerock. That said, the Heaven's Gate and much of Bravo areas are still MINT.

Good to see you today Ckofer, did you catch up to Trainor and Spooner ? Was a little AZ action at the 'Cat today, and it helped me smile longer to know there were friends about.

I've not forgotten your kind words from last spring ( re Brian WU) , and I'M SORRY I had to jump to help someone else quickly today. I would have liked to talk with you longer.

Yep, thats me, now you know. Sorry, I'm the oldest one in the bunch, LOL, doesn't it figure.

Wildcat is now Dealing/Discounting midweek pricing, the 2-fer pricing discount is good Monday thru Friday and we are working on late season weekend Wild Deals. Stay tuned. There is more good in this season!
