Skied 6 days. It snowed at times throughout the trip but especially the last 2 days. For the first 4 days there was some very good snow to be had on the upper lifts, especially on the north-facing woods and chutes. The fifth day and especially the 6th day had more powder throughout and the snow remained better toward the bottom (still nothing like the top, but much better than earlier in the week and lots of fun). Overall the skiing was very good and the last day and a half was outstanding based on the type of conditions I normally have.

The best run of the trip was Casper Bowl on 3/25 (second to last day). Had some knee-deep powder and some spraying up to my face. Never happened to me before, so that was tons of fun. The last day (3/26) had powder runs throughout. Sublette and East Ridge were closed, but it was possible to traverse over to some of the Sublette runs from Thunder. More people were doing it as the day progressed, but the runs remained fairly untracked throughout the day. On our last run off Thunder for the day we added some hiking (sidestepping w/ skis on) to the traverse and made our way up to the Hobacks, which were lots of fun on 3/25-3/26, with fresh turns in lots of places. Earlier in the week the lower faces sucked--the snow was too heavy even though there was plenty of it.

Unfortunately I didn't end up doing Corbet's. Spent the week getting my confidence up, especially considering the deep snow pack. We were planning to go up to it the last day, but the 2 upper lifts to get to it were on wind hold. So that was disappointing, but as I mentioned above, it gave us better conditions elsewhere.

Unfortunately now I'm home, and all I can think about is which weekend I'm next getting up to VT :) Has to be one of the next two, because the 3rd and 4th weekends in April are no good for me. Maybe a May trip to Tuckerman Ravine? Haven't done that yet.
