Resort or Ski Area: Jay Peak, VT
Conditions: Spring, Sunny, 50
Trip Report:
Crazy loss of snow in the past 5 days, and they're down to 6 full runs: Haines and Jet off the triple,Goat, Exhibition, and GMB off the Freezer, and Queens off the Metro. Flyer is definitely done once the rain gets here this weekend, coverage is rough down low. Metro might make it as the green trail under the tram is in great shape still. Haines looks good, but Jet is iffy up top. Already a big bare spot and who knows how that'll look post-rainstorm. Exhibition is a mess, just a ribbon on the uphill side of the trail, otherwise if you want a wider area to ski you have to go off the side of the fall line. GMB also has a big ol' bare spot right in the middle of it. Goat Run is actually in great shape still, but you have to turn onto Lower River Quai which is in rough shape. Like I said, the green under the tram is in good shape, but its neighbor under the Flyer is all patchwork.
We'll see how it looks after this weekend's deluge (maybe they'll get some snow out of it). Hoping today wasn't my last day, so we'll see.
