Trip Report:
I have not been “home” to visit yet this year, so why not pick a day that is absolutely a beautiful day to ski. My cousin did two runs and got called into work, fortunately I did not meet in Newport or I would of had to gone back for my car. This is the latest in the season that I have been to Jay. Parked at Stateside and had to walk to the Jet Triple Lift. The Jet bumped up nicely. I skied Jet, Haynes and Derick Hot Shot. These trails had top to bottom coverage so the skis did not have to come off.
The snow was more early March like and not heavy and wet as I expected considering the temp & sun.

At around noon I headed for Tramside. I rode the lift with a ski patrol and he mapped out the trails to get over there. It was Montealar to Taxi to Queens Highway.

I did ride the tram twice and spent most of the afternoon using the Flyer Quad. My favorite trail was Can Am today. I did see people walking out from the Ullr’s dream trail at the bottom. The snow was gone. I followed the liftline for the Flyer Quad for a bit and I had to take my skis off and walk a little. I ended up on the Expo Glade trail.

Was at Jay yesterday and what a day! Very surreal to be out there in a t-shirt but very happy we got out. It was busier than I thought with most people packed in the Jet area. We rode all that was rideable and even some bare spots 10 feet long we rode on. Its hard to see how they could be opening today given the lack of snow but yesterday was just enough to get down with it. The temps almost hit 80 degrees and was very hot on the Tram all sandwiched in, but a nice breeze up top made it worthwhile. All in all great day @ the J.
