Powder and more powder.

Got back a few hours ago and still hummin with alpenglow on the brain after 4.5 days of steeze in the NEK. Much powder fell, then more fell. Highlights include 10+ inches on Wednesday which meant a mandatory 1 day extension into Friday. Did a hike to the Skyhouse (Top o' the tramline) Monday afternoon. Tram, Bonny and Flyer were on windhold all day, so the morning was off the triple snorting powder in Timbuktu with several runs down to the dip in untracked dry dust. Afternoon I booted to the top and for a fleeting moment, I owned the top of the mountain, floating back down thru Valhalla after a sammich and some chocolate under the Skyhouse. Tuesday I lapped around the tramside and headed back to Timbuktu for more untracked goodness, finishing the day with another run to the dip with a car waiting. Wednesday the snow came early, and it came harder as the day wore on, 2"/hr fluff. Thursday AM was a solo session around the mountain, ending up with 3 of us skinning up Gilpin for ~800 - 1000' of untouched, pristine pow. Got up before sunrise this AM and hit Gilpin for a short solo skin for about 400' worth of vert and headed back to Philly. Prolly the best 4.5 days I've had at Jay after 4 previous trips. :snow::snow::snow::snow::snow::snow:

A couple shots of me in Timbuktu on Wednesday.

Short edit from the trip.

Was there on Wednesday for my virginial trip to Jay, and the "Jay cloud" didnt disappoint.
Was def nuking from 10 til noon. was lapping the Canyonland to Bonni glade, with a few Powerline runs thrown in. It didnt suck. Would call it a 6 inch storm w/ much blow in in the woods.
