Thought we should start the new year right so went skiing despite my resolve to wait for snow. Hell. wasn't going to do anything anyway and it was way better than staying home and watching the jets suck...again.

Conditions were a combination of granular and slush but they had a good amount of terrain open including the steep runs dorm the front. I skied the one next to the 6-pack chair and it was pretty nice, some bumps even forming in the soft snow.

It was a good warm up and a pleasant day, spring like, sunny, 48. No lines, easier runs somewhat crowded, steeper runs mostly empty so that was nice too. Really glad we went.

Mt girlfriend and I went Friday. I was going to bite the bullet and head to Killington, but I just wasn't up for the drive. It was decent considering. A decent amount of people, but no one on the steep slopes. I think we hit every open steep at least 3 times and had them almost to ourselves. Toward the end of the day the slope next to the main lift line actually had a few decent bumps. Everyone was sticking to the cruiser trails. We were happy to go, A little icy and thin, but when is Jiminy not icy? Glad to hear you had a good trip.
