Jiminy Peak

Frozen granular, loose granular, mash potatoes, man made.

Saturday morning everything was frozen hard, it was tough to get an edge, but by 9:30/10:00 things soften up and it was great. Jericho was probably the best it’s been all year. As the day progressed it was like spring skiing. If there had been more traffic it probably would have been scraped down to the base in the usual high traffic areas, like the top of West Way or Three 360. However it was not a busy day and it just got better until about 2:30 when it rained, and it rained hard. But not for long, by the time I was leaving it had stopped. However it left me less then hopeful for Sunday. It did get cold enough to make snow Saturday night and Sunday morning, since they had races scheduled for Sunday I think they really had to crank out some snow. I only skied a couple of hours on Sunday, and it was not as much fun as Saturday. The surface was frozen (really frozen granular) with wet man made in spots. I think they were trying to make more base in stead for coverage so the mix was set very wet.Two very deferent days.
