Trip Report:
With a nasty cold and a couple of free vouchers my buddy and I drove the 25 minutes or so over to Jiminy for a few runs this afternoon.
Got there around 10 and after a short wait on the 6-Pack we made our way up. Weather was beautiful early, plenty of sun and in the high 30's. First run was Wild Turkey (a favorite of mine) down to the White Quad. It was great....
Skied all the trails on the White's Peak + Cutter (no bumps) then moved over to the Q1 Quad and skied all of the boulevard's on the front. They were all decent. Then took a run on Upper Ex (groomed, wtf?).
After lunch as the crowds grew we moved over to the Triple chair and the Grand Slam chair. Upper Liftline still has some good snow. Can you believe it was groomed as well? North Glade was good. Foxes were good (at least there were some bumps on skier's right, albeit no line). Riptide great. Grand Slam great. Mogul Thing half groomed half small bumps, ugh. John Hancock groomed, huh?
Anyway, they have a great base and should last quite a while into the spring. I was very dissapointed to say the least with the lack of bumps and trails left to nature, which reminds me why I don't ski here much even though I live down the road.
