K Folks: Best route from K to Poughkeepsie, NY?

Thinking of hitting K next Saturday... I have to be in Poughkeepsie, NY to run the NCAA fencing regionals at Vassar on Sunday, so I've got to get there from K.

Looking to make decent time as I will have to be there in the evening for a meeting... So what say you K-crew? How should I make this run?

personally, I would go

7 -> 22 -> 295 -> Taconic -> Dutchess pkwy (is that 82?)

It should be about 3 and a half hours. I live in Wappingers which is a few minutes south of Poughkeepsie. I take 7 22 295 Taconic when I go. When you get near the 22-295 intersection make a right at Queechee Lake. It brings you to 295 and cuts off a couple of minutes. Both route 44 and 55 are exits you can take off the Taconic. They meet in Poughkeepsie right near Vassar. At Raymond Avenue you bang a left and Vassar is a mile down the road.

When you leave Vassar You will either be going out the side entrance onto College View Ave. or the main one onto Raymond Ave. If it is onto College View turn left and it brings you to Raymond. Take Raymond North to 44/55(first light) Turn East onto 44/55. After the 2nd light the road splits into 44 to the left, and 55 to the right. Take 44. This will take you out through Pleasant Valley and to the Taconic Pkwy.

Yes... This is how I leave Vassar...

I've been there several times, just have never gone from K. Always either from home (Lowell / Chelmsford, MA) or UMASS.
