I am a ski patroller at Peek n Peak in NY. I have been riding in a set of cinch bindings for 2 years. As far as I am concerned they are the best.I am in and out of my gear a million times a day. Once you have them set you just lock the back in and away you go.

I have one friend that loves them. I almost bought a pair but they were very heavy and rather expensive. With a little practice you should be able to strap into regular bindings in a few seconds anyway.

Thanks everyone. We are getting ready to pickup this year's gear, and were leaning in this direction. Nice to have some real world, non salesperson/magazine feedback.

One other piece of advice is to make sure they are comfortable. Have your son put on his boots and strap into the bindings for a little while to make sure the straps are comfortable. Most bindings are pretty comfortable but every once in a while you find one where the strap padding creates a pressure point or sits funny on your foot and cuts off circulation.
