Last year we took our nephew out to Camelback 2 or 3 times (very painful for me, but he loved it). We had to do the whole gaper rental dance. His parents are basically a wreck and I don't think they will ever really adopt skiing as a recreational activity but we wanted to take him out with us a few time this year.

We were looking to get him (now 12) a season lease somewhere in PA. Somewhere between Stroudsburg and Easton/Philipsburg.

Does anyone have a good recommendation of a place we can get the whole package from? I'd prefer someplace closer to Blue Mountain (or further from Camelback). It's an easier for us to go closer to 78 and it's pretty much a straight shot down 33 for them.

Anyone have any ideas on costs for this?

Thanks

We leased my son's skis and boots for the second season a couple weeks ago. It definitely beats renting at the mountain and seems to make sense to me because he's growing so fast (he's 5). Also he has a season pass this year so he'll be going with me often, I hope.

The equipment we got was in very good shape, 80cm. Rossignol Velocity and some Rossignol rear entry boots. I decided to go with rear entry boots this year because he had a little trouble getting in and out of the regular boots last season and the rear entries are easier, I don't think it makes much of a difference at his size and ability. The price was $109 for 1 year, this was used equipment, you can lease new for more money, I don't know how much.

My parents leased equipment for me from about 9-13 years old and I thought it was pretty cool getting new (to me) equipment every year.

Ski Barn in Paramus. It's also a $109 deposit but since we paid the deposit last year we just rolled it over. I think all the other Ski Barns have the same equipment.

I like the Paramus store cause I can hit up Campmor for some dirt cheap Cliff Bars and energy gels on the way there
