I was up at Killington yesterday and took a few pictures... conditions were real nice except for the cold temps but there was lots of sunshine and no wind... trail coverage was powder, packed powder and machine groomed... steeper trail sections got scraped off as the day went on and any thin cover trails were well marked ... not that crowded either for a saturday.
I witnessed a bizarre incident around 2... a telemarker went down in front of me on the superstar headwall and lost a ski... I guess they don't use brakes but are suppose to have some type of a leash... for whatever reason his ski took off like a bullet and almost hit four skiers that were stopped about 100 yards down... it ended up careening Into the woods somewhere past High Road... fortunately nobody was hurt.
