Trip Report:
I got to the mountain about 8:30, but for some reason thought it was 9:30. The place was pretty much deserted making me think they might have closed. Booted up and more people started showing up. I bought my ticket from the touchscreen self service machine and it only charged me $55, god start to the day.
I headed up the gondola and over to North Ridge skiing rime first run. Next was Reason which was definitely the best trail today. There was no grooming done overnight so the trails were a bit rough first thing until the warmer temps and traffic smoothed things out a bit. I skied East Fall my 3rd run and found a couple spots getting with grass and dirt showing through the snow which needed to be avoided. I lapped North Ridge staying away from East Fall until about 10:30 when I headed back to he base to grab a snack and lose some clothing. Coverage was pretty good until the very bottom where there were numerous bare spots. I came over a knoll and ended up on a grass patch about as long as my skis at one point.
Headed back up to the top for more laps on North Ridge with a couple trips back to the bottom. Called it a day about 1:00 when the snow got too soft and pushed around and irregular moguls were forming. Overall a pretty good first day out.
