Took the day off from work and headed up to K-mart today. Got a pleasant surprise when I got to Ludlow and flakes started falling. I arrived to find 4-6 fresh inches of fluff and it never stopped all day. Can't wait to see what this next storm brings...

I will take it as a good sign that you must have been too tuckered out to write up a more comprehensive report?!

Actually, that was exactly the case! Friday was pretty sick, especially for mid December. By the end of the day, there was a solid 6-8". The cold weather and fact that it was a week day kept the crowds away. I think the wind was supposed to be way worse than it actually was. The heat I built up during each run was more than enough to keep me toasty on the lifts. It also helped that I basically rode onto the lifts all day. I even had a table all to myself by the bar in the K1 Lodge. It was my friend's first time to Killington so I tried to show him as much of the place as I could. I think Ram's Head had the deepest snow and the best chance for fresh tracks throughout the day. It was pretty empty and never really got totally tracked out. But I have to say the best goods I found all day were on the skier's left edge of lower Superstar. We lapped that a few times to end the day.

What a difference a day makes. We skied superstar just once. I found way too much ice there compared to the rest of the runs. Near the bottom where it gets steep I lost an edge and went down (under the chair). I had to call heads up to some skiers below because I couldn't stop (I'm not sure if I got a bad tune on my skis, or if the conditions were that bad - I've never had that much trouble on the ice...).

I have skied killington many times, but I've never skied rams head...

I think I know the exact spot you're talking about. It was still a super slippery patch when I was there. I was just lucky enough to see it in time to go around.
