Killington 2-1-08
Date(s) Skied: 2-1-08 12:00 - 4:00
Resort or Ski Area: Killington
Conditions: Powder...sugar like snow, Windy Cold temp around 23
Trip Report: Started out on the Snowdon quad and noticed how windy it was along with it dumping made it hard to see the surface. The snow was much better then I thought it was going to be, sort of like skiing through sugar. Did all of my favorite Snowdon runs. North Star was groomed out but the powder that the wind blew to the edge of the trails made the trail really nice. Vagabond skied really well as well as the trees.
After lunch I headed over to the Superstar quad. Superstar head wall was really nice with a good amount of powder with no ice showing. I took a HARD fall on Bittersweet and hurt my forearm pretty good. Once recovered form the pain I skied Superstar and then headed back over to Snowdon. Since most of the lifts were on wind hold I figured it would be a good time to hit lower eastfall since there would be only one way to get there. Very happy I did untracked powder...very nice infact since the Killington was empty most runs you could fin untracked pow. Great day glad I made the choice to head up.
HUGE crowds
