Snowing// sleeting then rain.

Last night as we soaked in the really hot pool at the North Star, watching the sun set on Superstar, I made a deal with the kids. “Tomorrow it’s going to snow. We are going to not eat breakfast and ski the powder until it turns to rain. Then we’ll go to the pancake house” The kids said sure never believing that it would snow. I silently hoped I was also wrong, so I could sleep and rest. My body was destroyed from the sunny mogul fest we just completed that day.
At 7:30am I peeked out and saw snow. 2” down and it was coming down hard. I came downstairs and started to rally the troops. We hit the K1 at 9:30. Windy, but manageable. I hit East fall and the Woods next to it sweet powder over a corn base. It never really froze up overnight so we got lucky. Poaching began, Dipper, Down Draft and Cascade all delivered. You had to ski the “white stuff” real sweepy turns, light on your feet. You had to choose your aspect, some areas were really rough, I heard.
At noon it began to turn, the kids were getting anxious. 2 more I said. By 1:30 we were at Wally’s for a great breakfast.
I went back out a t3PM and did 5 more on the Superstar Lift. Contrary to what I read on K Zone the SS chair was not down for ice. The skiing was like cream cheese.

You aren't kidding that pool at NS is really hot - just got out of it a few minutes ago - was glad to see it was back in operation after being closed last week - anyway, needed the nice hot water after an awesome day of ripping huge bumps at the Bush - unbelievable zippers everywhere - steins, ripcord, grinder, spills, paradise - tons of snow left, they're sayin two more weekends easy - hope the r$&@ holds off tomorrow at K, and hoping they haven't groomed all the nice lines from you weekend warriors!
