killington monday 4/15

today was the day we were waiting for. sunny near 50 degrees combined with pretty much full coverage everywhere made for a spectacular day. did a couple warmups on skye lark & bittersweet waiting for the sun to work it's magic. after that it was game on. ran every possible combination of the east side runs using the snowshed crossover for return. did seconds on a couple. the bumps on middle vertigo were perfection. after lunch we did pretty much the same thing in the canyon area. even the headwall softened up. highlights were the escapade/flume combo and anarchy. interesting phenomenon in the woods. with all the meltage from the trees felt it was raining. we needed an umbrella. pretty amazing to be skiing trees on tax day. all-in-all still a ton of snow at k and superstar is ridiculous.
