After a great four day weekend of skiing in Maine, I made it as far as Rutland on my journey home, 450 miles. I sit in a Dunkin Donuts at 12:30am typing this. I plan on getting a few hours shut eye, then hitting Kton at ten. Anyone else plan on skiing there? I'm sure it'll be a let down after Maine, what the hell, I'm here. It's been ten years since I've skied there. I was looking forward to a day of rest before returning to work, might as well rest at work and get paid for it. I should be home by 10pm.

Rambo? It's probably about four hours from Binghamton. Meet me at ten.;-) This was the first weekend of April, if they make it two more, you win the bet. Looks like Superstar is about all that's open. $49 to ski it, I must be nuts.

Just picked up a lift ticket from liftopia for $36, I guess they can scan the bar code right off your phone, cool. I feel a little less nuts, $13 will pay for lunch.

I'm sitting in the K1 Lodge, waiting to pick up my pass. I got about an hour and a half sleep in my car last night. This should be interesting. Killington is a beast. Even the approach road is a beast...Highwaystar? It was cool watching the groomers almost disappear into the clouds as they climbed Superstar last night. It looks good, I'll let you know...if I survive.

I might consider K-Ton on like Friday, 4/6/12. $36 ticket form Liftopia doesn't sound too bad. But with the price of gas... I just don't think so. But a warm sunny day forecast for Fri. is a little tempting.

I'm seriously thinking of going up tomorrow morning (tues.). They claim 2" of fresh last night & it's supposed to be sunny & warm tomorrow (high near 50) so things might soften up a bit. Even a chance for snow again on Wed. according to the forecast. I already packed all my ski stuff away thinking I was done for this year so I'll have to take it out again. Got my pass down to $27 a day so far this year. Maybe I'll shave a couple more bucks off that.

I was there at 11:30am, not much going to soften today. At least yesterday it was snowing, which softened things a little.

A friend called me that skied K today & said it was pretty good. He hit it on his way down from J & said K was better. Guess I'll find out in the morning.

I'm on my way home, I'm in Wilton NY. I thought Superstar was awesome all day. Icy spots were exposed, the headwall was like a mini Upper Skyward at Whiteface, the wind had scoured it down to boilerplate. I will post a TR tomorrow. Believe it or not, it was the most fun day of the five I skied.

I searched around the internet and found 2 pics of "Superstar", from today Mon 4/2/12. Indeed the skiing at Killington though limited to 2 or 3 trails looks decent this week.

Rambo, I think you may win our bet, there is a ton of snow on that trail still, despite the recent weather. The wind was brutal today, blew right up the trail all day. I'll see if I have enough energy to throw up some pics. Gotta grab some grub.

Was there Sat/Sun...and it was alot of fun.

Bittersweet was open too as was lower Skylark which had a few awesome bump lines on it.

Snowed both days. Lots of ice, especially on the headwall of Superstar, but better than dirt and rocks.

Going back up coming weekend.
