Since I was up there this past week, I'm somewhat congnizant of the conditions of the trails. There was no way to ski off the K-1 gondie onto Superstar. Now that the temperatures have warmed and there has been tons of rain and fog, I don't see how they can open new trails. I can't see how they can blow any snow until Tuesday, too, as the temperatures are going to stay high until then. If anyone skiis there this weekend, I'ld appreciate a report.

You need look no further than here.

Upper mountain in good shape. Glades area was good except for some thin spots on Pipeline and Middle Great Northern. Bunny Buster losing snow on the sides. Mouse Trap is grass on one side again. Highline will require walking today. And yes, the KBL-Superstar connector is pretty much shot and will require hiking.

Thanks. The forecast isn't rain, so riding the Super quad wouldn't be uncomfortable. How about crouds? Does anyone think the crouds will start developing this week?

As we get closer to x-mas i think the crowd situation a killington (and most other areas) will reach downright scary. very limited terrain for weekends or holiday weeks.

you know, tomorrow will be day 13 for me. I have braved some pretty crappy days, and I won't even consider going out next week. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but please be careful out there and save the fast skiing and crazy @#$$% for another day.

The first week of last January I was hit by a snowboarder, so I'm rather leary of dangerous conditions, now. I believe Killington offers the worse as it encourages the kamikazee groups of teens. However, I have to be up there Tu and Wednesday. I'm hoping the crouds will be minimal then. It is the week after Christmas that sees the worse. Nevertheless, all the colleges are out.

In my mind, northern New England
Only way to make it from K1 Gondola to Superstar was to take Great Northern then lower Bunnybuster. If you have enough speed, you can shoot over to the Superstar quad. There was still enough snow at the bottom by the K1 lodge last Saturday afternoon to avoid a hike.
