on the fence because of the forecast but made the mad dash up in time for the afternoon shift. glad i did. greeted by sunshine at bear. didn't last long but temps stayed warm and the skiing was awesome. spent most of the time lapping bear & needles runs. wildfire & vertigo bumps were prime. fiddle rocked. hit the course on ol. dreammaker, thimble, stitch still good. huge bumps on the old bittersweet headwall. even did a top-to-bottom ovation - snow was that good. heard the trees were creamy goodness but since sans helmet didn't venture in. kbl lot appeared full but slopes empty. tons, TONS of snow at the beast.

Hows it looking for mid week this week? Might be my last chance for the season.

I know most of the woods are "closed" but as long as Flume is open Julio and Anarchy are fair game. Keep in mind any day my skis make contact with rocks is a good day in my book. Still good in there?

Don't know about Julio or Anarchy but Flume was still skiable yesterday and parts of the woods are still in play. Double Dipper was in really nice shape and a place called the Light was good too. Saturday was better then Sunday for us but we also left right after 12 Sunday to get home early. Weather was real interesting Sunday. One ride up K1 was a blizzard, next was beautiful sunshine at the top, the next back to snow. From this far out the weather next weekend ain't looking too hot but we shall see.

If that is really your attitude (it ain't mine!) then you will be very happy in Julio and Anarchy. They look great from the top, but my fear of their lower "rock garden" kept me out.

If it weren't for the threat of rain I'd check it out tomorrow. Haven't been in years. Keeping an eye on the forecast hoping for a change.

skied anarchy today. was in great shape though exits are starting to go. flume has one section that's very thin but otherwise skies great especially if you're not afraid of rocks. didn't ski julio today but with it's lower elevation exits would think those could be dicey. the rock garden as well.
