Cool, be good to meet a couple new AZers. I'll most likely be lapping the canyon once it opens, 11am at the top works for me. The fugly combo of my green ibex softshell and blue lange comp 120 boots is hard to miss

No, not up. Dead at Nassau 2nite. Dead at MSG tomorrow. Possible Rangers/Caps game 6 at MSG on Sunday.
My weekend is full. Next season for sure pal. Enjoy the sunshine and take a turn or 3 for me.

I think the Bear triple has been replaced in that picture - and judging by the amount of manmade on the trail, they made just as much or more snow with land guns back then than they do now with the towers now.

Yeah, just picking on him for the things that are actually different now. There was a thread back around January that asked if OL would ever look that way again; that Saturday, I wished I had my camera with me when I pulled into the Bear parking lot, because it looked pretty much like that, outside the addition of snowmaking towers.
Skied from the top of Sky Peak today to OL. Work roads have been cat dozed, big bare spot on way over with narrow sliver on edge still skiable, new snow was sticky and slow. OL was quite good once we got there however, cream cheese smoth. Best snow on the mountain.
Had a conversation with Chris Nyberg about half way down Double Dipper last Sunday afternoon. He was out sampling the product while the box was running and was concerned about the runnout holding out. It looks like some snow was pushed on it today for Sat. I think with the warm temps coming they felt it will not make it to Sunday. Only time will tell!

Sorry, I ran into some folks I knew and was with a pretty good size group. Caught one run with danny_p.
I was at the top of the canyon quad from 11:00 until around 11:10 when I left with the group roark was skiing with. Didn't see you anywhere?
