for sure, but the fact that they are seeing the importance of putting out a quality mogul product is great news for the bump skiers at K (which is still a large portion of the the skiers at killington) or any skier that gets sick of skiing flats all day

it's not a large portion..........it's a small and dedicated group. Most K skiers don't give a shit. Most care about either groomers or people who enjoy glades.

Based on my watching over the holiday weekend, you'd be wrong. I watched a lot of people ripping through the bumps on Outer Limits, when they could have easily taken the bailout lane instead. (Of course, there were people in the bailout lane too, but a lot of good skiers in the bumps.). Same goes for the bumps developing elsewhere on the mountain. Glad to see them getting built up, regardless of the date on the calendar.

at most mtns you are right, only a small portion of people are into moguls. but at killington, its a huge group of people that care about mogul skiing.
when they groom half a trail, 90% of the traffic is on the bumped side.
when is the last time you have seen a ski shop sell a mogul ski?... there are 3 shops at killington that sell bump skis because its one of the only places that people are still buying them.
the only skiers that want groomers are people new to the sport or older skiers. most of the skiers at K want powder first, then ski trees until there is no more fresh lines and then after the powder is gone (which is usually pretty fast), we head for the moguls. i think everyone would like to ski powder everyday, but when its not there, bump skiing offers the only other challenge at eastern resorts
