I was going to post this in the swimming hole thread, but then thought..."Nah, too much of a hijack."
***********************
Since y'all are on the topic of swimming areas...other than Echo Lake what are other swimming/boating ponds and lakes close to Killington or between Killington and Okemo?

We are looking to buy a place, or a building lot right away if we can find one that we like. But I'm looking within 20 min drive to Killington access road. We are also hoping that it can be on or near lake/pond/reservoir so it can be more of a year-round getaway.

Any leads or suggestions? Please PM me. I do have a realtor I can work with, but if I can locate something on my own that's preferable. Any guidance to where I should look/ideas for finding for-sale by owner stuff is appreciated. I Googled already, and results were not that great.
Thanks!

What!? Nobody kicked the bucket, got divorced, went bankrupt and has to sell their waterfront property anywhere within 20 min of Killington? :-?

Well, looks like we'll have to find a big parcel we like and just become squatters...

Unless what you mean is that all the lakes in the area suck, which is entirely possible (I'm not familiar w/ any).
