Leaving the plates in the cargo box between use - good idea?

I had a set of Burt Retractables... Unfortunately they broke after a few days. They were cool though... Worked as advertised.

If there's any truth to this theory, I presume there could be tiny manufacturing defects that could be exploited and made worse.

i wonder if he's talking about de-lamination between the top of the edge and the ski

I used the spademan SRS on rentals when I was learning. They were a PITA, always releasing unless every single bit of snow was off the plate, and it was difficult to clear them of snow.

What kind of car do you drive and where do you park :)

It's a Volvo station wagon (XC-70) and I park inside my garage. I doubt the temperature goes below the freezing point overnight there unless it's a really cold night. So I hope the possibility of water seeping into the plates, err.. skis and separating the layers as it freezes is slim.
