Thats great to see! Unfortunately, the weather is so wild up there that it could be 60 and sunny at the bottom.

I was up there today for some work. 33 Degrees, Rain, 50 MPH winds. Some remains of the Rime here and there. October is when winter really begins on the rockpile. Snow and ice will come and go, but by the endo of the month, it pretty much stays.

We'll be sliding before too long

What kind of work would bring you up there? Actually, late August was the only time I have never seen snow on that summit.

My second (or maybe it's my third) job is working for a radio shop. We maintain several trunking and repeater systems, so I end up there a few times a year.

This time of year is always tough to schedule the work, as the weather is such a variable. We hit is just right. Once they go to winter operations, it gets too expensive to go up for anything but emergency repairs.

Two years ago I had to go up the first week of November as our system was off the air and I had to replace an antenna. That was a fun trip:
