Date(s) Skied: 12/11/2005
Resort or Ski Area: Loon
Conditions: Groomed fsgr
Trip Report: Coverage was pretty good. Got a little scratchy and skied off in the afternoon. About 50% of the terrain was open. (no blacks) The Kanc Quad, North Quad and the gondola and some smaller lifts were operating. Waits for the Gondola were under 10 minutes and the quads were ski on. A rare uncongested weekend day at Loon (pre Xmas I suppose).
Only problem on the mountain was at the junction of two trails where for some unimaginable reason there was a couple of terrain features. For some reason the kids waiting to hit it thought that the line should string horizontally accross the adjoining trail so every one going that way had to stop and pick their way through. I couldn't find a troller to point this foolishness out to.
All in all a good day to work out the kinks and brush up on technique.
