Check the thread for Loon 3/16, as this is a continuation.

Today we were first on the lifts, and it was frozen crud/cord. By 10 it was soft spring, and we quit at 11am. Too soft/thick.

I'm guessing that parts of the mountain were okay for longer. Plus, a snowboard was probably good for much longer. However, my light bride, and 240 me were just not enjoying the deep soft.

Third day of a three day, not really disapointed with only two hours. In fact, was over joyed with getting the runs in. But, didn't stay another day, and called someone that we were suppose to meet, and suggested that they look elsewhere. Just to warm, for too long here.

Also, if it hadn't been clocks forward on sunday, would have only been an hour of skiing today......

I skied Loon on the 17th and had a great time.

When you say "Camp III" lift, do you mean the North Peak Quad? We skied there from about 10 or so until noon and had tons of fun. Also did Angel Street and upper Picked Rock. Best was upper and lower Walking Boss.

Below Grand Junction wasn't too bad. Had fun on Pickaroon and Seven Brothers. A couple of the runs at the West Basin weren't bad, either, but the bottom of that area sucked. We skied Blue Ox at 9:30 when it wasn't groomed and that was scary.

All in all, a fun day, but yeah, we quit shortly after 2.

Will probably ski it on Sunday, but are planning on being there 8 to noon.
