Date(s) Skied: Friday 2-2-7
Resort or Ski Area: Loon
Conditions: PP in the morning, LSGR afternoon
Trip Report:
Nice day on friday, too bad we missed Friday night's pow. Everything was open, pretty good coverage throughout
No lift lines per usual, nice temps, high of about 33 at the base. Bluebird morning, clouding in afternoon.
by afternoon, the snow had started to turn "heavy"
but still quite turnable and nice. Not a powder day. Enjoyed the trails on the west mt. / camp 3 the best.
Very fast. Most Blues were getting scraped off, so the saviour was the snow Friday night, otherwise, the weekend conditions would have been tough
Jamaican food at top of gondo is tops: do it.
NASTAR course was running, lots of customers. We did 5x runs. It's a pretty tame course over on Race City. Great location.
Easy course = difficult to improve your time. Enjoyed.
Blue Trails to the right (when looking uphill) had a strange snow consistency to them, kinda chunky and scrappy; difficult to describe.
