Resort or Ski Area: Loon Mountain

Conditions: POW, PP

Trip Report: With the last deposit of snow, the tree skiing at Loon is holding up really well! Yesterday and today glades like Mike's Way, Bucksaw, Missing Link and the others you have to find have great cover. There are a couple of thin spots here and there but for the most part great cover, with potential for freshies depending where you are.

Loon does not have too much for tree skiing. Certainly nothing compared to most of the other larger NH resorts excepting Waterville. But what it does have, it does well. Mike's Way is one of NH's finest on map glades.

True, Loon doesn't have that much... and after big snow fall get to some of the trails quick as they'll get skied up pretty quick minus Mike's Way. Skidder's fun on South peak, and there are plans to put in more glades in the near future. But, the 'unmapped glades' are a lot of fun, and for the one near Triple Trouble I couldn't believe I was making fresh tracks two days after the snow!!
