Resort or Ski Area: Lost Valley - Auburn, ME

Conditions: Hardpack

Trip Report: I don't think I have seen a Lost Valley report here before, so I will throw one up. Chaperoned son #2 Middle School Ski Team bus trip to practice. Forgot how gross middle schoolers are on a bus ride. :-o

Anyway - nice little hill and great for training. Up the lift quick and decent pitch to set up training gates on. Yesterday's rain froze solid so things were rock hard... but good practice for the kids. Those that didn't have sharp edges suffered.

They probably have a dozen or so trails. Decent base lodge and cheap lift tickets. Only 240 ft of vertical but it is snow and it goes downhill. :daffy:

I used to coach the Greely Middle School and we trained at Lost Valley. LV does a great job providing hill space for the CCC schools. We raced at Shawnee. Yea, some of the kids are a real pain but we had a tough driver who kept them in their place.
