The Carbon Tri HRS Shoes feature the Carbon EXO Jet soles. Designed for increased stiffness, the soles ensure power stability by limiting the dissipation of energy from flex. The heel of the Tri HRS shoe has seen changes, using a new, lighter design with one-way stretch Lycra lining. This allows for quicker entry and exit from the shoes without irritating the skin. Both of these additions create faster transitions and virtually eliminate the heel blisters that are all-to-common with rougher fabrics.
The Tri HRS gets its name from the most prominent feature on the shoe -- the Heal Retention Strap(HRS technology>. This forward-thinking, integrated strap uses a thin membrane on the inside of the heel pocket to maintain the placement of your heal during the power stoke.The system helps you create a complete power transfer for increased velocity and more efficient pedaling. To solidify your foot position as you race down long stretches of pavement, the Reversepower belt across the top of the shoe contains two straps for full security. Both straps are reinforced with a Kevlar band that accelerates transitioning while making the strap more durable. Although the HRS shoe boasts an incredibly lightweight construction, and a simple yet secure strap system, know that you aren't sacrificing fit for low weight -- these shoes are the total package.
The Tri HRS' thermo moldable liners provide a customized fit without compromising the overall weight. You can dial in the fit of the footbed to your exact specs by heating them up and molding them to the shape of your foot. The HRS shoes also come with a pair of Coolmax Ergo Air Cool Stuff foot beds in Blue, and a pair of Hot Stuffs in Red. These footbeds are interchangeable for cold and warm weather riding.
The multi vent system throughout the shoe is integrated into the White and Red synthetic leather and nylon-laminated mesh upper. The ventilation maintains air flow from the front to the back, so your feet stay comfortable during the 112 mile bike leg of your next triathlon.
