You can still volunteer...selling tickets, cooking, running the rope tow

You beat me to the punch on this one...great article in the Cal Rec.

I called and they are looking for ski patrollers so they can open. Volunteers? They are opening Monday and will be skiing on Tues, Weds, Fri nights. TB will be in action there on either Tues or Weds  Trip report soon...

Riv--the reason why they did not open much last season was not enough volunteers. Seriously...consider throwing in a few hours...I would and have before. Lots of fun. And the skiing is decent as well!!

i may once the arm heals up a little more. right now my days are scheduled around PT and exercises and i still have only limited use of my right hand. makes doing even simple tasks uncomfortable to say the least.

last season, natural snow trails across new england didn't open till february. there may have been a lack of volunteers, but there was certainly a lack of snow to utilize, especially given the hill's low elevation.

my girl friend is looking to get out on skis for the first time this season. suffice to say, sice she will be putting time in ov er on the free ropw tow, i'll be over there any ways and will be looking to help once i feel comfortable enough to do so.

Yeah, for beginners, I'd say Burke's Lower Mountain is better. J-Bar ticket is only $15 I think and she won't wear her gloves out on the rope. LOC is not known for its grooming...au naturale mainly if you know what I mean...if you want to scope it out...I'll be there on Tuesday night.

Glad to hear that you got a new groomer and that you are able to use the tiller. Rumor had it that you did not have anyone who knew how to use the PTO/tiller feature :( But glad to hear that you have resolved that problem.
