Date Skied: 1/27/08

Ski Area: Mad River Glen

Conditions: Packed powder with a few inches of powder and light snow.

Trip Report: Conditions were pretty nice, actually. There was a light snow falling all day of the sort that has been giving MRG and SB some nice little 3-4 inch totals over the last week.

I was with my kids, so no single chair, as my daughter is still frightened of the thought of going down alone. We skied almost everything else, though, including Fox, Vixen, Quacky, Quacky II, Quacky II, Canyon, Upper Panther, Partridge, Slalom Hill, etc., plus everything off Birdland and the Practice Chair.

The woods were better than I was expecting. Some of the natural, but heavily skied stuff off the skiers left of the Sunnyside Double was still a bit gnarly. It looked good on top but the moguls were ice underneath.

I still think we're one good dump away from the great conditions we had a couple of weeks ago, but there's still plenty of snow up here and it's getting better all the time.
