Great day to be up on the mountain! Arrived a bit on the early side and hitched a ride up the hill in the gator. All the trails are mowed and looking great. A big 240 excavator has spent the better part of a month moving dirt in various spots around the mountain and the work done is amazing! All those nasty spots that never filled in, washed out and simply didn't drain well have been fixed. The best IMHO is the stream on Bail Out which now has a new culvert and is smooth as a baby's bottom. All the hard work should allow the trails to open and ski well with much less snow.

Spent almost 6 hours in the woods cleaning up. Nothing new per say, but a bunch of old lines have been reclaimed and should now ski pretty awesome! Definitely worked on some steep stuff today for sure! The crew was close to 25 deep and much work was completed on Disappearing Act which really looks amazing. Make sure you check it out this winter!

Here's a couple pics!

So much great terrain. I have to say, all the volounteers do a tremendous job with clearing and maintaining lines.

So not to rain on the parade, but did they say anything about the lifts and if they were able to do any repairs/work to ensure that there will not be a situation like last season?

They brought in a specialist from out west to perform a complete overhaul of the red chair drive and return bullwheel. This coupled with normal summer maintenance should make Red much more reliable for years to come. The black chair received the needed grip maint. and both lifts are going to be ready from day one!

Good to hear.
