Trip Report:
Wasn't going to as i was kinda sore from the event i did the night before but i got a call from a friend and he was going up with his kids(well 2 of them one had got into trouble). jumped in the car at 5pm and was there at 6:30 with a ton of traffic on 80. must hit a time warp on rt15.
got a spot in the first row at south. got out a started to boot up. they where blowing like mad at bear. 60 or 70 guns going at south. got my boots on and i get a cal from tom that they decided to go to north insted. so jumped in the car and rolled down the road to north. pulled into my prefered parking spot(tom scored one right by the patrol building). got to base of the cab and this is what i saw at 6:45
no friggin line. and it just got more empty from there on. last run we where the only ones there.
the first run up the kidies wanted to go over to granite. i was down. great snow to the switch backs. the line was to stay left on the first turn then right on the second and cut back to the left hand side on the red rock so you where by all the snow that was being blow on devils bit. thats right their blowing on bit. looks like sunday they could open.dow run was dope with all the tower guns goin blasting huge gs turns(well it was only a total of 4 turns i was riding uber fast).
the crew on the lift ride up
and what do i see when i arrive at the top
we lapped that 6 times then went back to north for some beers for the boys and fries for the kids. after a couple of beers we went out and just started bombing halfmoon to lower eagle hunt. must have done that 7 times. where are all the people. there where no lines at all. if i didnt have the kids i would have got 20 runs in. DA creek is goin gto be goin off tonight and great by next week when everything it open.
