It's because they got 1-2 inches of snow in the morning.(all of ct and the berkshires as well got a little) So you were riding on a covering of REAL snow instead of the fake crap

true but i had expected it to be scrapped off a bit, we don't get on the hill until 7:00 PM ish. skiing the sides of the trails was quite enjoyable.

Good you got a session in just in time. It's going to be crap now for at least a week. It looks like they have enough base to survive the week at least. Near 50 everyday with more rain on the way tuesday/wed. And today was an absolute monsoon with temps almost hitting 60. What crazy weather for middle of January.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
I was also there Friday night. The fresh was all skied off. Icy underneath whatever was left of the real snow. The man made has been frozen and thawed way to many times. Need more natural. The new triple tried giving me a concussion. The bar does not go up far enough. When I stoop up to unload I hit my head on the damn thing.

I was first chair in the morning (although someone had done some climbing before lifts moved so not first tracks). It was really nice skiing the fresh on top of the corduroy. Arrowhead and Wildwood were great, they didn't groom the fresh into the manmade. Mohawk was kind of a mess. Timber was also nice. Disappointed Chute wasn't open even though they posted on FB that it would be.
